In 1983, Bill McGowan, a visionary entrepreneur from New Zealand, recognized the need for a locally owned and operated courier company in the Hawke’s Bay region. With a keen understanding of freight and logistics and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, McGowan laid the foundation for what would eventually become Fastway Couriers. Over the years, Fastway expanded its operations to Australia in 1993 and grew steadily.

In 2016, Fastway Couriers joined forces with Aramex, a prominent global provider of comprehensive logistics and transportation solutions headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This strategic partnership has further strengthened Fastway’s position in the industry and enabled it to offer even more efficient and reliable courier services to businesses worldwide.

Our network includes 29 regional franchises and over 800 franchise partners across the country, from Cairns to Perth and almost everywhere in between. To leverage off the passion, innovation and opportunities that Aramex presents, in 2019 we began a complete re-brand making the transition from Fastway Couriers to Aramex Australia official.

Although we still offer the same friendly service, we have a spectrum of new opportunities available for customers large and small.
